Spring 2010 FIU Online Student Orientations - Published on 11/23/2009 10:00:00 AM
There will be two FIU Online Student Orientations for the Spring 2010 Term. One will be held online and one will be held on campus. These orientations will cover the fundamentals of learning online. It is highly recommended that students who have never taken an online course attend one of these orientations. We also advise you to check our website for program requirements, online registration, and new updates about online courses.

Spring 2010 FIU Online Student Orientation Schedule:

1st Orientation (Online Session):
Wednesday, January 6th, 2010 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm (link will be provided soon)

2nd Orientation (On-Campus Session):
Tuesday, January 12th, 2010 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm (MARC 115)

Although not mandatory, attending one of these student orientations will save you from having to get answers to common questions throughout the semester!

Please be aware that if you are taking an online course during Spring 2010, you will not have access until the first day of class. The first day of class for the Spring 2010 semester is Monday January 4th, 2010.

To log in please visit the course Login page.

Your course username is your Panther ID number.

Your password to login to your course is NOT the same password as your myFIU / PantherSoft password or your FIU "My Accounts" password. The default password to login to your course will be your full date of birth, mmddyyyy (ex: 07151985 for July 15th, 1985).

Please make sure you are aware of your Panther ID before the semester begins, so you do not have any trouble logging in. If you are unsure what your Panther ID is please click here to look it up.

Please contact the FIU Support Center at 305-348-2284 for further assistance in obtaining your Panther ID, or visit the PantherSoft website for more information.

Winter Break Maintenance Schedule - Published on 10/23/2009 11:00:00 AM
The hardware and software that host our website and learning management systems require periodic maintenance to perform optimally. Therefore, we would like to inform you that we are planning a server and network maintenance window during which Blackboard, Moodle, and our website may not be available.

These windows will be scheduled as follows between the Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 semester break:

Thursday December 17 9:00pm - Friday December 18 8:00am
Friday December 18 12:00pm - Monday December 21 8:00am
